YBS-1304 Perfluoropolyether Oil
High-vacuum fluoroether oil is one of the most important application areas for perfluoropolyethers (PFPEs). The PFPE molecule contains F and O atoms bonded to the C-C backbone. These two atoms have strong electronegativity, thus exhibiting excellent chemical stability, thermal stability, and superior physical properties. Compared to chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) lubricants, PFPE lubricants have a wider range of applications and do not suffer from the drawbacks of hydrofluorocarbons, such as easy evaporation at high temperatures and thickening at low temperatures. Furthermore, because their molecules do not contain hydrogen, they will not cause corrosion to equipment due to lubricant pressure during use.
Plasma etching of integrated circuits is performed under vacuum conditions, requiring the use of a mechanical vacuum pump. Due to the presence of corrosive gases in the system, mineral vacuum pump oils would deteriorate rapidly. Perfluoropolyethers, however, possess exceptional chemical inertness and excellent evaporation properties, making them widely used as vacuum pump oils for integrated circuit plasma etching.

Operating Precautions
